At the moment I’m attempting to get out to a few local exhibitions and museums, plus starting to plan a future research trip next spring- as well as writing.

My last major trip was to Somerset for a weekend in Bath (May 2014) specifically to see the Georgians exhibition at the Fashion Museum, but also to visit the Jane Austen Centre and No.1 The Royal Crescent. I even got to see the Roman Baths by torchlight.

(It was one of the many events celebrating 300 years from George 1 ascending the English throne.)

I’m almost tempted to visit again, as the latest newsletter from the Fashion Museum has Georgians – Dress for Polite Society in place until 1st January 2016.

Though a number of the items I have seen, the display picture showed one or two I didn’t recognise.

I’m sure I’ll be visiting again sometime in the future, as there’s always the mini-exhibitions alongside the main one.
